Researchers will be presenting on the use of the Heads Up Checkup and Sharpen platform to provide mental health behavioral health screening to university athletes. The results of the screenings as well as best-practices for the protocol will be presented.

Stigma, Resilience and Connectedness in Medical School: How a Mental Health App Can Help. Presented by Fadel, N., Stoner, A., Ridgeway, L.

Findings of this pilot study suggest that medical students experienced decreased stigma of mental health within the school setting following use of the Sharpen service, accessed mental health screeners embedded within the app, and utilized the app to connect to seek help. Based on these results, we propose that medical schools incorporate mobile-based technology into their mental health support programs.
