Adaptive Testing Technologies
& CAT-MH

Sharpen is a proud partners of the CAT-MH® suite of validated measures which leverage computerized adaptive testing (CAT) and multidimensional item response theory to provide accurate and precise severity measurement for a variety of mental and behavioral health disorders. Validated against structured clinical diagnostic interviews, the CAT-MH® adaptively administers questions from large item banks, selecting optimal questions based on the respondent's severity level. It assigns heavier weights to the severity of questions indicative of more pronounced symptoms. In a fraction of the time required for a complete diagnostic interview, partners gain a comprehensive understanding of the respondent's mental health. This enables quick identification of areas that necessitate further assessment. The CAT-MH® can assess for depression, anxiety, suicidality, PTSD, SUD, and other related conditions.
In a digital world, pen and paper assessments are not only a thing of the past but lack the capability to provide the information needed to act quickly and efficiently.
Creative Destruction Lab

Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) is based out of The Rotman School of Management - University of Toronto - a global centre of research and teaching excellence at the heart of Canada’s commercial capital. Rotman is a catalyst for transformative learning, insights and public engagement, bringing together diverse views and initiatives around a defining purpose: to create value for business and society.
CDL is a global startup program for seed-stage, science-based companies. The program employs an objectives-based mentoring process by a selected group of accomplished entrepreneurs, angel investors, economists, and scientists.
The founders of Resiliency Technologies were accepted into the CDL-Wisconsin program in 2025, located at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The program leverages academic expertise and knowledge at the Wisconsin School of Business and the technical prowess of the School of Computing, Data and Information Sciences to seed tech entrepreneurship. Additional domain expertise is provided by the School of Medicine and Public Health and the Center for Healthy Minds.
CDL-Wisconsin’s Health & Wellness stream is focused on enhancing well-being and improving resilience through preventing, diagnosing and treating medical conditions. This stream primarily engages with ventures who bring medical technology, digital health, healthcare platform, and wellness innovations to market.

School Behavioral Health Academy

SBHA is an authorized Reseller of the Sharpen system.
The SC School Behavioral Health Academy is being developed in recognition of the significant accomplishments of John H. Magill, former State Director of the Department of Mental Health, who has played an instrumental and continuing role in developing effective child, adolescent and school mental health programs in our state, earning national acclaim.
In addition to instrumental support provided to this project by former state director of the South Carolina Department of Mental Health (DMH), John Magill, please note this work builds from more than a decade of support and guidance from DMH on effective school behavioral health programming, and the SCSBHA team is grateful for the past and ongoing support from DMH as a national leader on mental health in schools.
Led by school mental health pioneer, Mark Weist, Ph.D., and other psychology faculty at the University of South Carolina (UofSC), the John H. Magill SC School Behavioral Health Academy (SBHA) is a community of learning that will help schools build positive campus cultures and enhance mental health services to students.
The SBHA will train personnel in creating safe schools, responding to crises, science-based approaches to counseling, whole-school approaches to preventing mental health and behavioral problems, among many other topics. Training experiences and coaching will evolve based on the preferences and needs of SC communities, which are being assessed through a statewide needs assessment.
After the training, districts receive Sharpen toolkits – customized with mental health literacy resources for parents, educators and youth.
Stanford Medicine

A leader in the biomedical revolution, Stanford Medicine has a long tradition of leadership in pioneering research, creative teaching protocols and effective clinical therapies.
Resiliency Technologies has partnered since 2022 with Stanford Medicine’s Stress, Resilience, Emotion, and Mood (StREaM) Laboratory transdiagnostically studies ways that psychobiological stress responsivity is implicated in the emergence and propagation of affective symptomatology. Our team also develops and trials interventions that promote robust and adaptive responses to stress. Current and past projects engage diverse patient populations (e.g., pediatric oncology, pediatric mood disorders, bipolar disorders in adults).
Led by Dr. Victoria Cosgrove, our clinical trials explore the Sharpen DTX suicide triage product and the Sharpen Mood and substance use disorder products.
