Clinical Integration at Prisma Children's Hospital

Sharpen DTX has successfully integrated into Epic's electronic health record system at Prisma Children's Hospital. It now serves pediatric patients pursuing eating disorder treatment. The program's impact has led to its adoption as the foundational requirement for other partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs at Prisma starting in 2026. This deployment is also evolving into a Center of Excellence partnership with interdisciplinary research teams.

AI-Powered Precision Care

Working with partners at UC Berkeley's Center for Data Science and Society (CDSS) and AWS/Commit, we've completed a proof-of-concept AI recommendation engine. This system draws on over 20 years of research data to provide customized precision care pathways for patients using Sharpen DTX.

The model represents a significant step toward truly personalized digital therapeutics. It matches patients with the most relevant content and interventions based on patterns identified across thousands of successful treatment outcomes.

Athletic Mental Health Screening Partnership

Our third consecutive year partnering with Adaptive Testing Technologies (ATT) and the University of West Georgia has resulted in mental health screenings for over 1,500 college athletes using Computerized Adaptive Testing for Mental Health (CAT-MH). The Sharpen Athlete project continues to generate real-world data on mental health needs in this unique population.

Early findings from this work demonstrate the value of proactive screening in athletic programs. Mental health challenges often go undetected until they significantly impact performance or wellbeing.

Strategic Commercialization Support

The South Carolina Research Authority has awarded Resiliency Technologies a commercialization grant. This grant will engage Dr. Ainsley MacLean and Ainsley Advisory Group. This partnership brings deep expertise in AI applications and go-to-market strategy to accelerate Sharpen DTX's expansion into new healthcare settings. Read more about the grant award.

NIH SBIR Grant Applications for Clinical Trials

In collaboration with Stanford Children's Hospital and UC San Francisco, we've submitted NIH Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant applications. These applications aim to support multi-year clinical trials. These studies will serve pediatric patients currently experiencing extended wait times for psychiatric care. They will also generate the outcomes data necessary for FDA clearance of Sharpen DTX.

The research will provide rigorous evidence of efficacy across multiple clinical populations and settings. This will strengthen the foundation for broader adoption of digital therapeutics in pediatric behavioral health.

Community Recognition and Academic Presentations

Resiliency Technologies, along with partners at TREC and Community Wraparound, will be formally recognized as San Diego Live Well Partners by County Supervisor Monica Montgomery Steppe in September 2026. This recognition highlights our commitment to improving community mental health outcomes through innovative partnerships.

Additionally, more than 25 researchers are currently conducting studies on Sharpen products. Findings are scheduled for presentation at the 2026 American Psychiatric Association annual meeting and the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine conference.

Resources for Managing Holiday Stress

We've developed a comprehensive Holiday Stress Toolkit containing 20 evidence-based activities suitable for both adolescents and adults. The toolkit is freely available as part of our commitment to making mental health support accessible.

The Importance of Digital Therapeutics

Digital therapeutics play a crucial role in modern healthcare. They offer innovative solutions to address the growing mental health crisis among children and adolescents. By leveraging technology, we can provide timely interventions that are both effective and accessible. This is essential in a landscape where traditional psychiatric care often falls short.

The work continues through collaboration—with health systems, researchers, technology partners, and communities committed to transforming pediatric behavioral health care.

About Resiliency Technologies

Resiliency Technologies developed Sharpen DTX, a digital therapeutics platform for pediatric behavioral health. Built on over 20 years of research and community partnerships, Sharpen DTX integrates into clinical workflows. It supports young people experiencing eating disorders, depression, suicidal ideation, anxiety, substance use disorders, and other mental health challenges.
