STOPit and Sharpen: Trauma-Informed Technology for Schools

Sharpen and STOPit anonymous incident reporting and safety technology partnered to present in March 2022 to New Mexico Department of Health clinicians regarding trauma-informed technology solutions that improve emotional wellbeing.

Advancing school mental health requires a comprehensive, Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) following Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) best practices. In this presentation, Resiliency Technologies CEO, Robyn Hussa Farrell, shares a case study for improving emotional wellness and advancing behavioral health in schools through trauma-informed technology called Sharpen. Sharpen is a comprehensive, prevention-based framework that ensures individuals have a proven, best-in-class toolkit to support mental health. Sharpen’s HIPAA and FERPA-compliant system engages and empowers individuals through a results-proven library of social, emotional and mental health literacy content.

As a result of attending, you will:

  • Expand your knowledge of the evidence-based strategies that have been implemented across US.

  • Through data gathered from case studies, be able to identify interventions, research and strategies that improve emotional wellness for educators.

  • Increase knowledge of the best practices for decreasing stigma around mental health and improving mental health literacy.
